BUILDING YESTERDAY BUILDING TOMMOROW

Cyprus has a rich architecural heritage, developed through the centuries, affected by the historical, economic and social conditions of each era. The architectural heritage reflects the dynamics of the era such as the socio-economic conditions, the cultures that it was influenced by, traditions and skills of the people who built it, it even reflects geographical characteristcs of an area (stones used, mudbiricks etc).

The project is designed to educate and get young people familiar with the our architectural heritage, through visits, excursions and interactive games. The main objective of this project to inform the youth about the different types of architectural heritage, its values and the urgentcy of its preservation. It is widely accepted that the best way to preserve the cultural heritage, is by educating the youth, the future users, about the their values and this is exactly what our proposed programme aims to achieve.
