MULTI-LATERAL TRAINING COURSE TO ACTIVATE YOUTH PARTICIPATION IN SOCIETY AND IT’S DEMOCRATIC PROCESSES; DURATION: 5 DAYS; 23rd and 28th MAY 2013

PARTICIPANTS; 8 PARTNERS (3 PAX PER PARTNER) TOTAL OF 24 PAX (PLUS TRAINERS AND SUPPORT STAFF)
TARGET GROUP; YOUTH WORKERS, YOUTH LEADERS, TRAINERS OR PEOPLE WHO WORK WITH YOUTH.
AIM; TO GIVE YOUTH WORKERS AND TRAINERS THE TOOLS TO INCREASE THE ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN SOCIETY OF THEIR TARGET GROUPS.
OBJECTIVES;
a) Learning about Social and Civic Duties and how an active citizen should perform in society on a local and international level.
b) To learn about the 4 elements of Citizenship: Social, Cultural, Economic and Political.
c) To learn new workshops and methodologies of a non-formal education nature to be able to help the participants in their youth work back home.
d) To increase the interest of the partner NGO members and members of the partners’ networks to fight apathy and the lack of participation of youth in today’s society.
e) To create projects which promote active citizenship and to disseminate the results of the TC.
f) To foster mutual understanding and to live and learn in a multi-national, multi-cultural, society for a week and improve one’s cooperative and contributing skills in a team environment.
