For carnival.. every dessert is worth!
It’s Carnival! The most colorful and fascinating period of the year. Usually, when we think about this period, masks and different typical sweets come to our minds. So today I will share with you the recipe of a typical Italian dessert prepared for the Carnival called ‘Chiacchiere’!
-250 g of 00 flour
-10 g of soft butter
-50 ml of milk
-1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
-15 g of Marsala wine
– zest of 1/2 lemon
-peanut oil for frying
To prepare the ‘chiacchiere’ , combine all the ingredients in a bowl: flour, egg, soft butter, milk, wine, sugar and salt. Knead everything until you get a soft and homogeneous dough. Form a ball, wrap it in plastic film and let it rest for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Divide the dough into many pieces and roll them out, one at a time (taking care to leave the rest wrapped in plastic film), roll out the dough with the peeling machine, shortening the distance between the rollers,number after number until you get to the thickness of 2 mm. Carry out the same procedure on all the portions of the dough. Let the dough rest for a few minutes and then proceed by cutting rectangles. Fry the chiacchiere in oil at 170 ° and once ready sprinkle the icing sugar! Enjoy! 🙂
