European Voluntary Service- Insider Tips
Every volunteer has the right to have an arrival training and a mid-term training and last week I had mine. Me and my team had to write an article to promote EVS. Here is the article:
The European Voluntary Service is a project that allows young people to become volunteer in an organization, lasting from 2 to 12 months abroad or in the country of residence. During the EVS, food and accommodation are covered, as well as the travel expenses. You can also have access, all along the EVS, to an Online Linguistic Support, training and mentoring. The EVS can be done in many fields like art, culture, disaster prevention and recovery, inclusion, education etc.
Here you can find some testimonies of current EVS volunteers in Cyprus:
To conclude, EVS experiences can be very different: the common point is that it gives to all the volunteers an opportunity to spend some time far from home and know new people in an international environment.
If you want to participate, here you are our suggestion: take some time to consider what you are leaving and to gather information about what you are going to find.
