The Cyprus Institute
Like I said before I like to take the full advantage from Cyprus and from my EVS period, so I try to visit as many places I can.
Last week I choose to visit The Cyprus Institute, to take part to a conference with the “Romanian’s Unification” subject.
The institute is usually the host of technological events but through this event they celebrated the beginning of a new collaboration with Romanian Embassy and in the same time it was a celebration for 100 years of Romanian Unification (1918-2018).
The Cyprus Institute has been developed as an international science and technology organization , to strengthen the research community of Cyprus, help transform its economy to a knowledge-based economy and to create a research hub for the Eastern Mediterranean region. For realizing its vision the Institute is developing pioneering research infrastructures and programs involving cutting-edge, high throughput technologies, in order to address problems of local and regional significance and of international interest and providing high quality graduate education and training in related areas.
Besides the accredited Master’s and PhD Programs and three Research Centers, the Institute organize, open to the public events, on different scientific topics.
If you are interested in this kind of events you can check them on CyI site https://www.cyi.ac.cy/
For me it was a pleasure to take part to this event next to people form which I have what to learn.
