LAVA CAKE WEATHER
The summer left … Let’s eat! The taste of food or sweets is imprinted in our minds and is combined with places we once visited. The sweets calm us, make us forget and sometimes stop the time. Sweets are everywhere, in good and bad moments. They are not a panacea but they comfort us. And here in Nicosia we have many patisseries with a variety of deserts, but personally I love to make myself sweetsand deserts, especially when it comes for people I love that are going to eat . Winter impose us for a desert after lunch. And specifically a hot desert … Lava cake the real object of my craving! A common love we have with my flat mates from EVS here in Cyprus is to eat lava cake. Two words but many memories … When you listen to lava cake what comes to your mind? Can anyone resist and if yes how? I am curious when there is lava cake in the kitchen .. can someone sleep quietly? When one respects himself of course and stays awake for a while and then he or she gets up to crack it. But to taste the lava cake you must first make it …. Lava cake an easy desert, with few materials. The name from the fluid & hot chocolate it has in the center.
Before we start some small but important tips to get more delicious lava cake ….
- You must love it before you even try it
- when you make it to behave with respect
- & the materials have to be fresh
Having these three tips keep in mind let’s start with the :
Materials
- 4 eggs
- 100g of sugar
- 200g chocolate
- 200 g of butter
- 95g of flour
Step by step how to do:
Ø heat the oven to 180 degrees
Ø Pyrex flour or utensils to use to ensure painless output after baking
Ø A pot of water to warm up and a metal utensil that covers it evenly pour the butter there with the chocolate broken into small pieces, as soon as the pot is warmed up for good, stir until it melts and joins.
Ø Empty eggs and sugar in bowl and mix until they form cream
Ø Thoroughly mix the chocolate mixture I prepared just before and stir well with the stirrer.
Ø Finally, add the flour gradually to incorporate it as it falls.
Ø Shake the mixture in a refractory pot and roast for 12 minutes at 180 degrees.
For decoration:
For the continents : powder sugar
For the determined: a lot of whipped cream or ice cream
It is eaten with fury. Make sure that your velum and those who try it will ask again and again !Enjoy and fulfilled your life with sweet memories like lava cake.
