Farewell Party and Cultural Night
Last Friday we had our EVS farewell party. Everyone started cooking in the morning and afternoon typical food from their countries ( well, me and Margarida got a bit late on the cooking but just because we are portuguese doesn’t mean we’re that lazy). We had so many good food and personally one of my favorites was the varenyky, an ucranian food.
The rain and bad weather didn’t stop the people to come to our party and we ate and dance as it was our last party all together, which it was.
Sunday afternoon I woke up with the feeling of something was coming. Yana, one of the sweetest and unique person I’ve ever met was about to catch her flight for the reason of most of the EVS team and their projects are coming to an end.
I knew I would cry, for knowing that I will be missing her and not seeing her and the others like I am used to it. 24H every 7 days of the week. Like a family with the good and the bad, which is also extremely important.
Now it’s the last week of the others of our team and then it’s just 3 of us, waiting for new ones to come in. It’s gonna be weird but I am also ready to meet the new ones and be a part of their family. For now I will start to prepare my eyes and nose because it may not rain in Cyprus this week but I will be bawling.
