my time so far in Cyprus
In my time in Cyprus i have found there to be a huge amount of differences between our country, one of which is how ‘shy’ the general public are, for example when walking through the street in ireland it would be common practice to say hello etc. when crossing paths with someone, even if you’ve never met them before but here in Cyprus its a very different situation and it not as appreciated here. However an obvious difference is the heat! it has taken me three months of being here to realise that when its around mid-day at its hottest, its probably best for the pale Irishman to stay indoors at least for a couple of hours for it to cool off before i go outside and get burnt! But other than the fact i maybe have to stay a little quiet in the street and stay in shaded areas during the day ive really enjoyed my time in cyprus so far with the vast amount of cultures in the one small area, the hospitable people whom i go and see on a regular basis, the beautiful sights and various mountains and even the little added extras, free fruit from the trees!
